History and Basic Info

The Royal KMG, (Keyset Magic Gray) was manufactured from 1949-1952 as the successor to the Royal KMM. It is basically the same machine but with glass tombstone keys and a gray paint job. KMMs came in gray, but not as often as KMGs. The "Tombstone Keys" on these machines match those of the Henry Dreyfuss designed Royal Quiet De Luxe.

Common Issues

Just like the Royal KMM, KMGs are very solid machines. These will most likely need something like a drawband replacement and some deep cleaning.
