Olympia-Werke AG, more commonly Olympia, was a German typewriter company that also made adding machines.

History

Olympia was founded as Union Schreibmaschinen Gesellschaft m.b.H. in 1903 to sell the AEG Mignon. In 1936, the name of the company was changed to Olympia Büromaschinenwerke AG. During WWII, it manufactured models such as the Olympia Robust for the Nazi military.

Olympia SM-3 1953-1961 An SM model with a tabulator set at the back.

Olympia Monica 1960-19?? The Monica ran alongside as a cheaper alternative to the SM series, with less detailing and features. Later models were plastic framed rather than metal.

Olympia SM-7 1961-1963 Distinguishable by its grey plate on which the Olympia logo is placed, the SM-7 had a keyset tabulator and similar internals to the SM-4.
